iPhone to get Opera Mini before long

All the iPhone users are certainly rummy for having Opera mini and are looking how long Apple would take to have Opera mini on iPhone. But we are here to assure all the iPhone users to hold on for some little time because we’ve got some good news. Opera mini has been approved and will be available for free on the App Store within 24 hours! Can’t say we were expecting that, since non-Safari-based browsers have typically been verboten from Apple’s little kingdom, but we’re certainly happy to be surprised.

We’ll do up a full hands-on when we see it in the store, but for now do check the demo video

iPad Game Flight Control HD Goes 3D

Firemint has updated Flight Control HD – already selling well on the device – to bring a 3D option.

Robert Murray, CEO Firemint, said, “There has been a lot of activity around new 3D technology recently, with the releases of Avatar and Alice in Wonderland and the announcement of new 3D TVs on the horizon.

“We wanted to play with that a bit, which is what the 3D map in Flight Control HD is all about. The Flight Control world is set in the golden era of flight, it’s got a pop culture retro aesthetic to it.

“The idea of red/cyan 3D just seemed like a wonderfully retro interpretation of modern 3D technology, it suits Flight Control very nicely.”

Facebook is celebrating its 6th year of launch this week and thus has given a new birthday redesign. This new interface will help you in finding what you are looking for on Facebook.

This isn’t a completely new design, or you can say facebook has given some new add-ons which include:

In the top menu, your newest notifications, requests and messages
The left menu has been organized to make it easier for you to communicate with and discover content from your friends
It’s easier for you to find and interact with applications and discover new ones, with the new Applications and Games dashboards, accessible via the ‘Applications’ and ‘Games’ links on the home page
You can now also bookmark your favourite applications using the ‘Add Bookmark’ button in an application

Chrome OS going Touch

Google has given a slight indication that its very own operating system namely Chrome will be having touch options in near future. According to a source when Anders Sandholm (Senior Product Manager of Search at Google) was interrogated regarding touch options for Chrome OS he answered “Right now we are targeting netbooks, that’s what we’re focused on, but I expect it to work well… we expect it to target everything up to desktop computers. Chrome OS Touch will be built for a specific hardware setup.”

Hearsays are bristling that HTC which also brought out the first ever Google phone Nexus One is already working on Chrome Touch project by producing a Chrome OS tablet whereas rumors are also spreading like anything that Google is building up its very own Google netbook which will be having 10.1inch display with Chrome OS Touch options. If Google launches a Chrome Touch tablet it would certainly be a menacing indication for Apple’s iPad.

Ford is now furnishing the drivers with its new MyFord tech which gives the option of reading Twitter Tweets via its latest in-car entertainment and control systems. MyFord includes an 8-inch touch screen in the dash on which these Tweets appear. At the beginning this new Ford technology will come out in the next 12 to 18 months in Edge and Focus model cars, with the promise of Tweeting behind the wheel in a year’s time.

A Wi-Fi hot spot will be established in the car by Ford’s new tech via which the passengers traveling in the car will get connected to internet. The Twitter-reading function works with an app called Open Beak. Through Ford’s new in-car tech you can aslo get connected to internet radio via Pandora’s mobile app.
